'04 23' LSV: The pull up post at engine for towing worked fine then became very difficult to raise this last summer. Tried lubing the tube...Still too hard to get up for use...Ideas?

There has been a lot of discussion on this issue and I think some cures. Go to the advanced search function and use the keyword "pylon" in "search thread titles only" and see what comes up.

Thanks for the tip, I am new to 'Discussion' and will now use 'search' before posting threads. Good answers, also...been battling that pylon for 2 summers now and the answer is in hand with the discussion info!

Ditto Mad.gif It is driving me nuts. It seems to happen when the engine has been running for awhile. In my garage, cold, it goes up and down with ease. Go figure.

IIRC, people have shaved the plastic bushing inside the tube to relieve the sticking. Luckily, my boat is so old that the pylon only has one position.
