Guys, I want to repaint this. Its about the only area that doesnt look perfect. Hate the chips but dont want to strip and leave bare metal. I want to repaint it red or black.

Anyone have good luck doing it?

1. How did you strip?

2. How did you prep?

3. What did you use to paint it?

4. How has it held up?

Thanks so much

We have had this discussion in past years. I would suggest using super fine steel wool and very carefully use acetone and completely strip the old paint off. Then buff with a little Mother's aluminum polish. They frame looks great polished and not repainted.
