Manual wedge mount bracket.

Recommended Posts

Anyone know the torque spec for the 4 bolts holding the wedge mount bracket to the transom? Don't want to crush the transom by over torqueing. I took mine off to repaint it and raise the up position park hole and need to put it back on.

Put silicone or something waterproof on the shaft of the bolts. Then, only allow the nut to rotate while tightening.

I stopped torquing once I heard the fiberglass make weird sounds. About 40 lb/ft

My outside bracket had a washer siliconed in the center between the transom and bracket. Don't have any idea why. Anyone else got any ideas? I don't think I will put back when I reassemble.

I'd leave that washer out.

But, I wouldn't mind adding some sort of thin plastic to act as a barrier between the bracket and the hull.
