Center Ballasts autofill

Does anyone have a quick fix for the center ballast tanks that fill on their own? My fills everytime I am out and I do not want to have to close the valves everytime.

Thanks,

Joe

The fill line has to have a loop in it that goes well up above the water line (the higher the better) to prevent this from happening.

Traci,

Shouldn't I expect that to be installed on a 05 or is that something I am going to have to do myself?

Probably should be expected but that doesn't necessarily mean that it will be done. Check it & see what you've got.

my center ballast filled a few times after i got the boat. every thing plumbed high enough to keep water out. after using a few times it quit. i wonder it there is a check valve that can get stuff in it and hold it open allowing the tank to fill. just guessing here but that is what it seemed like. mike.

On my VLX the fill line runs all the way up under the passenger side windsheild before lopping back down so it does not autofill. When replacing my stock bag with a bigger one I tried replacing the fill ine with my own that went from the pump up to the floorboard and then to the bag but it would autofill. I had to revert back to the hose that goes up nice and high to stop the problem.
