How many hrs. can a Bu go?

Does anyone have real, not hear-say accounts of the most hours put on a Bu? Actual hour meter readings. Motor hours would be cool to know too. Which ones hold the records for most used? Blowup.gif

Smile has no relevance, I just think it's cool.

I've got somewhere in the neighborhood of 950+ hours on my 99! Yahoo.gif Only had to do regular maintenance and never had a problem with the motor yet! Yahoo.gif

The most I've ever been able to do is 215 in one season. Our old Malibu Skier, a '92, had 1200+ hours on it when we sold it in '02. It ran like the day it was new, just oil changes and impellors and it was perfect. I have heard of ski school boats going well over 3-4k hours in 3 years or so.

We did 80 hours our first season. And it was beautiful.

She will be paid off in July and I have just 250 hours on her now.

I looked at a Mid 80's Carver that had twin DD 350's in it, it had just over 1600 documented hours on it, and it ran well. The motors were very similar to the Bu, but outdated. I know it's not what you asked, but just letting you know the 350 is a very capable powerplant.
