What's the difference between the Perfect Pass and Malibu speed control?

Not a whole lot for the wakeboarding world. Malibu's system is brand new this year, although from what I've heard & read it's based on Accuski's system.

No idea on the price brand new cause the stupid Malibu website doesn't quote the prices ... stupid!

The wedge plate is simply the mounting bracket for the foil that is bolted to the transom. The wedge foil is the unit that flips down to create the additional down force on the boat when in motion. As silly as it sounds they can be ordered separately.

Compared to an MSRP of $45800 for the 05 VLX (not including trailer and PP) that seems like a pretty good deal.

I agree with Boomer on this one. We were 44,000 with Vride, perfect pass, trailer, wedge full, ballast center & rear, depth finder, flip up seat, two pair cleats, basic stereo, two Titan board racks.

The pricing that included the trailer was for '05. For '06 they're talking like the trailer isn't included, hence the $50k mark. That info came straight from the factory.
