Hehe. It's amazing how much money you have to spend when you don't go and buy brand new. Did I mention I bought the bimini twice. The first one was from Dallas Canvas and Boat Tops through Waterski America and oh boy was it teeny weeny. Nicely made, but tiny. So I'll live with it through the backlog from towerbimini.com. Hopefully I'll have it in time to show off at the miniWOW.

Racor LG50 (do the v-drives need this?)

On ours I have not installed one and have not had a problem.

Although some of that might be because I keep a pretty close eye on the tank. Pop up the middle seat above the V drive and the back of the tank is right there.

If you do decide to install it then you would need 2 of them to do it right.

Plenty of time to go out on the lake.

Plenty of crew with plenty of time to go out on the lake.

Wedge

Perfect Pass

Some gas

Some beer

Assorted surf boards

I don't think I'm asking for too much...

A trust fund so I don't have to worry about work getting in the way of using the boat 7 days a week...r maybe I should play the lotto.

My V-Drive needed it.

My V-Drive only has one vent tube so I only needed one LG-50, do the new '06's have two tank vent lines?

I don't see how the second fill line wouldn't work as a second vent line if you removed the cap. If you've got two fill lines, I wouldn't install the Racor. I'd just open the other side. I would think the you couldn't build up enough pressure to spew gas if the other side was operating as a vent too.

I doubt it would spew out the other side, it would probably FLOW out the other side....

I'm not as worried about it when filling up. We've never had the problem on any of our inboards at that point (biggest problem is having it puke out the fill tube). It's after the tank is full that we've started to see problems & the Racor has fixed it nicely. Are there really 2 vent lines on a v-drive tank? That wouldn't make a lot of sense.
