Anyone make a swing combo ski/wakeboard rack?

My little research has turned up combo kneeboard/wakeboard racks. Combo foil/wakeboard racks. Combo surf/wakeboard racks, but no combo ski/wakeboard racks.

I have a wakeboard rack, a ski rack and would like to add a 3rd rack and it be a combo rack. Thanks - Jim

There's a reason that you haven't turned one up; it's not really feasible to make one rack that has the correct fork spacing for both a wakeboard and a waterski. Take a look at your racks, there isn't really a way to make a backing plate that can span the width of two double boots on a ski, and also hold a rockered wakeboard.

It could definitely be done, but the amount of money that would go into it would reduce it's already limited appeal (not many people are looking for ski racks).

What kind of ski are you trying to hold? In a pinch our new combo rack will fit pretty much anything, but you wouldn't want I use it for a long time.

we have the titan lowrider wakeboard racks and we simply put the knee board on top of the one rack and secure it with the rack bungee cord, it never fell off once this year.

Hi Jason ... I've been talking to a nice person at your shop, Rocky I think about this and speakers.

The ski I want to store is a Connely 68" with an open rear boot.

Can you clarify "but you wouldn't want I use it for a long time.", what do you consider "a long time"?

Thanks - Jim

The space between forks on our combo rack is quite a bit wider than the thickness of the ski, so there will be some extra room. In rough water, that extra room will allow the ski to bounce around, which may damage the ski and/or the rack.

It would be acceptable to put a ski in a non-ski rack to get back to your dock if it's a short drive, or between skiers to keep it out of the boat, but anything other than that would be outside how the product was designed, and could result in damage.

What exactly are you trying to store on your tower (type and quantity of toys)?

Jason,

I have a matching pair of skis in the locker for beginers along with a drop ski. I already have a titan ski rack that holds 2 good skis and a titan wakeboard rack to hold 2 good wakeboards.

I want to bring along one more wakeboard and one more good ski and keep them out of the way. I'm wondering if I could pad the forks for the ski both to prevent damage and to fill up the space. Maybe some of the pipe wrap that you put on your hot water pipes to stop the loss of heat, you know the kind that is slit all the way down. Maybe a small noodle. Both are cheap. Take them off while not using the racks or towing. Could try to tape them on ... with clear or silver duct tape - that would add padding and take up more room. Certainly don't want to look like a hillbilly. Thanks
