Drain plugs

I have a new 2008 vRide Indmar 320hp. I have one center ballast and no heater or shower. How many engine drain plugs will there be and what is the location of them? Do I need to drain in a specific order?

Thanks.

There are two drain plugs, one on either side of the block. Additionally, you should drain the quick-disconnect hose coming from the exhaust manifolds, the C hose near the circulation pump, and the hose going from impeller housing to tranny cooler.

As to your ballast and v-drive, someone else needs to chime in here.

Down load the PDF that is hyperlinked in my signature. It's an older doc. with instructions for an older boat but, it's got good pics. and it's a good read and place for you to start.

As for the v-drive, you'll notice that the hose from the raw water intake loops up and then down to the rear-

most portion of your transmission. Then, a hose leaves the other side of the transmission and runs back to your raw

water pump.

It is that dependent portion of that circuit that could be holding enough water to worry about freeze damage.

If you disconnect the hose coming into the raw water pump, you can blow most of that water backwards, up and

out, through the raw water intake.

Thanks, I'll be sure to address that.
