I'm a big fan of using video to improve/review slalom technique. Water Ski magazine ran an article on the topic a few years ago and mentioned some editing software targeted for sport related video. Anyone using or familar with such software?

I am not familiar of specific sports related software, but have used video for reviewing technique.

I use my camcorder to film & transfer to the mac. I can watch on the computer frame by frame & also publish to youtube, my site, etc. For my ski partner videos, I publish a large Quicktime format -- it works great as you can use Quicktime to go frame by frame also using the arrow keys.

Software wise, I just use iMovie & iDVD on the Mac. The professional versions (FinalCut Pro I believe) would probably give you options like split screen compare, etc. I just open up two windows when I want to compare passes.

There are several Pro coaches would do video analysis. I currently have some recent video in to Seth Stisher @ H2Omosis and should get his feedback any day.
