Shower in RLXi - No Hot Pressure

Hey Guys,

First of all, yes i did search the forums, but I couldn't find the appropriate answer to my problems, or i couldn't access the pictures others had posted.

Problem: The aftermarket shower I installed doesn't get hot enough. When I turn the cold to the off position, hot water barely trickles out.

The Hot is sourced from the plug in the block, on the passengers side. Its an 04 RLXi with the Indmar Carbie.

I've take the valve to pieces and the screens are not blocked...

Any suggestions on what to try next???

Mine is pretty much the same. On my old boat I had the hot coming off the bottom of the exhaust manifold and seemed to do much better. On this one, the hot comes off the passenger's side of the block.

Perhaps trying to pull hot water out of the block creates a vacuum where as pulling water from the exhaust manifold does not.

It always works better if the engine is running!

I had the same problem. I disconnected the hose from the shower knob and the block and removed the fitting and blew compressed air through it. I couldn't believe all the junk that came out.

We did the same thing. Blew water backwards through all the valves and pipes. Then disconnected the inlet to the block and poked a screw driver up to remove heaps and heaps of junk. Works like a charm now!!

We see clogged screens in the mixer valve a lot, blowing compressed air backward through the center fitting (all three hoses off the mixer valve) with the valves open will un-clog them easily.

Should be a easy fix! Good luck!
