How to open rear panel

there are about 8 screws along the top and bottom (i think the bottom too) that you have to find buried in the carpet.

Between the motor housing and the rear storage compartment?

Does that mean I have to remove motor cover first? It looks connected to panel, but then I didn' t notice 8 screws either...

thanks.

I think you may need to be a little more specific about which panel you are trying to access. John (jgouveia3) is referring to the panel in the trunk: rear most panel, against the transom. There are screws buried in the carpet that you can find by feeling around. Remove this panel and you should find the fuel filter. On your boat there may be a second filter near the fuel pump on the motor.

If you want to access the transmission, under the floor, behind the motor box, leading to the rear seat lean-back, then that is different. You do NOT have to take the motor box cover off to do this. Just lift the panel up from the floor, starting near the motor box. It may not lift easily and you may have to pry up on it to get it started.

Thanks Jack! Perfectly clear now and I was after both panels but didn't know it until now. I have yanked on the floor panel but it didn't budge, I have the confidence now to be a little more aggressive on my new baby
