Personalized Custom Graphic

One of my buddies wanted to make a very unique board -- he had an old T-shirt that he loved the graphic on, so we scanned it and printed on rice paper -- then glassed it under fiberglass. Rails look like carbon fiber, but it is a black airbrush. :)

Wasn't quite sure how it would turn out especially since it was scanned from a T-shirt, but he was blown away when all was said and done.

He was super stoked and couldn't stop smiling.

Sweet. Is the reddish line a piece laminated into the board, or just where the paper is coming together? Smedman, were you thinking of putting together a DIY article at one point? I think I remember a thread where you laid out all of the steps for making your own board.

That board is awesome! You do some pretty amazing work. I might have to get you to build me a custom board this winter.

Plus1.gif My girls have been begging me for a hot pink board.

Thanks all!

The reddish line is actually the wood stringer -- the print is done on ricepaper and it becomes translucent when the resin hits it so you can see the stringer through the print. The print on each side is one full piece of paper.

As for the DIY article I haven't had time - but one place to check out is www.surfersteve.com he walks through the steps of building a board in your garage with just a few power tools.
