Anyone have a walkway attached to their boat lift?

Recommended Posts

I have my boat on a Floe V4200 vertical lift and it's too far out in the lake for a dock to be practical. I once put a 10 foot section of dock next to my lift but it was so light that the wave action during mid-week storms floated it away and it was stolen. That was really special as my neighbor said he saw it half way into the beach and the next day gone...."...uh, just thought you should know." Gee thanks! Anyway, I was wondering about having a walkway (even just 12" wide) on either side of my boat lift. Does anyone have, or has seen a setup like that? Just wondering as I watch the leaves drop from the trees and realize that I'm not going to be driving my boat for 6 months.

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't have a pic handy as everything is in storage now, but on my Hewitt lift I have two 12" L angles on one side with a 2x12" pressure treated plank on top. I had to reinforce it underneath due to the length, but it works great. Hewitt offers it (called "catwalk brackets" and looking at my neighbor's Floe, I think they would probably bolt up to the frame just fine.
