Amsoil ATF

Anyone use the Amsoil synthetic ATF? for their transmission? thanks

Yup, I've used it. Honestly though, we change the ATF with the oil & with that kind of frequency, I'm not sure that it makes sense to. The fluid never looks dark or even used when I pull it out of the tranny, so I'm just not sure that there's a return. Of course if you've got a high hour boat, it might.

Yea - I guess with the 1/2 quarter or whatever you exchange... you save $2? Tease2.gif

I just happen to have cases of the Mobile 1 ATF around... probably not much advantage.. but always liked the stuff

I use Amsoil in the Sportster and all my cars, but have heard the synthetic ATF is not good for boat trannies. It lubricates too well and the clutches don't grip properly.
