FAE noise reduction

I know the Fresh Air Exhaust has been discussed several times on here, but all of the threads seem to focus on the reduction of CO rather than noise. We don't surf, so I'm not as concerned about reducing CO, however I would love to quiet down our boat if possible.

I'd love to hear thoughts and opinions from people who have experience both with and without the FAE. How much quieter does it make the boat? On the manufacturer's website, the example video makes it seem like a HUGE change... is that really so, or is it just exaggerated?

Also, has anyone had any problems with affecting the wake, handling, etc.? Any other info or advice you can give me would be appreciated, too!

Have you been on their website? They have video/audio files of boats going by to show the difference the system makes.

Yes, I've been to the website. The little video that show's the difference between with and without the FAE seems too good to be true in my mind... I was wondering if that's really how it is, or if the difference in noise really isn't that great.

Anyone know how the FAE compares to adding silent riders or turn down tips in terms of reducing noise levels?

The only noise you will hear will be coming from the engine itself....
