Who makes this tower?

I does appear to be mounted backwards. Does that not affect the stability and structrual rigidity of the tower when using it to pull someone?

I had to check to be sure, but the top is different than a Pro Flight, backward or not (which I think it is). That top is tickling my brain, but I can't remember what brand it was that I saw that's making one like that. Backward or not, I've always thought that it would be a really flimsy tower with the ladder being joined before it meets the top like that. ICBW of course.

It's backwards, look at the placement of the ball. Way too far over the windshield from all the other towers I have ever seen :)

the top half is not backwards . look at the mounts on the braces. the front and rear are different, so it would be impossible to switch the top half around. the whole tower could be backwrads, but unlikely. i think thats juts the way it is.

The top half isn't backwards by accident, it's backwards on purpose, it was built that way. But it's still "backwards" from the norm.

Proflight will custom build you a tower however you want, and they've experimented with a few that have that look. Here's their page with one on a Nautique.

It sure seems to me on the Bu' that it would be a real PITA to mount and remove those wakeboards because the racks are so far forward.

I think the reason they did this is so that the driver can hear the tower speakers better :)
