I like to adjust my propane system (MPI)

Therefor I got a OBD-2 Testkit to read lamda and gas correction data from the motorcontroller

while running gas or propane

also the propane ECU is able to use OBD data for online adjustment.

The test-connector on the motor (next to the electrical motorbox) is not fitting to the OBD-2 connector

is there another connector or any adapter?

Anyone has tried a standard automotive code reader on a 2008 Motor would work ?

I am still have queries on the service connector

The 2008 Monsoon schould have a MEFI 5 controller and a CAN data system.

The connector type is different from a OBD-2

I would like to ask aboud the pinout of the Indmar connector

The pinout for the 16 pin J1962 OBD2 connector are as shown here:

May be anyone can help me to lokate the pinout on the Indmar connector.

I will add a pic of the Indmar connector later on.

I would recommend enlisting the help of your shop in Germany. They will have Diacom to be able to read the ecm.

Finally I got all detail data direct from Indmar - very good service!

The storry behind:

I converted my 2008 Monsoon with a propane system.

I did this because in Europe we pay around $ 8 / gal for gas and propane is on the half price.

The propane system is a MPI whish is fully electrical controlled (ECU).

Basically the ECU of the propane system using the signals of the gas ignition for timing the propane after adjustment procedure.

For additionally 'online adjustment' the propane ECU is able to use data of the CAN bus.

Old thread,i haven,t been here for a long time,until i needed info on the OBD from indmar.

i,m also working on a perfect mapping for a LPG system.Wich brand do you use?

I,m working on a refinement under load,the BRC system doesn,t need the lambda connected but takes it from the OBD.

I do have the diacom etc,...BRC came with a complete new system,..nice 45 pages of study again,

Any info you have would be greatly apreciated.

It could safe me some hours.
