Question about VTX swim platform...

When the boat is sitting still in the water, where does the swim platform sit in relation to the water level? It is right at the water level or a few inches above?

I was watching the Malibu DVD last night and it looked like the platform was several inches above the waterline.

Anybody have pictures??

Thanks!

With my boat completely empty, it sits about an inch above the water. But when were loaded, its sits right on the surface.

Thanks WAKE-RIDER-01! That sounds good. I was worried it was several inches (e.g. 4 or more) above the waterline. I spent last weekend in my friend's I/0 with a really high swim platform and it made it too hard for my kids to get in the boat.

You are sitting just right in the water. The reason an I/O sits higher is because... well, it's an I/O. My inboard Bu sits the same as yours. It all has to do with the wieght in the boat, be that ballest, people or stuff.

Here is a pic of my VTX from this week at Don Pedro. All ballast is empty, no one aboard and calm water. I never noticed it sitting up that high. I do know that as soon as any weight is on the platform, its becomes level with the lake. Hope it helps.

That is where our's sits loaded the same way. That is about 3-4" off the surface of the water.
