Infinity?

After suffering from withdrawal for a few years now, I've been looking to get another Malibu VLX. I stumbled across this: http://atlwake.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=13011#p13011

I have never heard of Infinity. It sure is cheap...at least $10-15k cheaper than a VLX of the same year.

Does anybody know if Infinity boats are any good?

Is it an Infinity ZX-1? I can't see the link.

If so Svfara is still making it, the call it a SV-One now. It was really a radical design. I was never in one but from what I understand they put a v-Drive in but kept it in the same location as a direct drive, the the prop was under the engine, but in the middle of the boat. The result: from what I have been told by many, one of the quickest, best handling boats ever. But it is a 3 event boat, not even in the same market as a VLX

yes Svfara does make the sv one which is the same hull as the infinity zx1. Svfara took the boat to the next level and redesigned the interior.

here is a pic of the one i have in stock..

here is an interior shot.

I had no idea that Infinity made a vrdive wakeboat. Very interesting!

Are you supposed to sit on the floor??

From my recollection there are little jump seats in each rear corner. And I do mean little.

$18K seems like a pretty good deal on the boat. I would think it is worth a look if you are in the market. The boat also looks to have been well maintained.

Well, I took a look at it. It was a little more rough than the photos revealed. There is tons of room behind the windshield, but the boat is not as deep as a Malibu v-drive. It's kind of like a Nautique, where you feel like you're sitting on top of the boat, instead of inside the boat. The seats are low and probably wouldn't be comfortable to sit on all day. The bow room is tiny. OK for small kids, or maybe very petite girls. In the traditional spot where the ski locker would be, in the walk-through to the bow, there's a built-in cooler instead. The observer seat lifts up, but there's not enough room forward to put skis in there, either. (I don't ski much if at all, but somebody might!) There is a wide but shallow locker in the middle of the boat. That would be the perfect place for ballast, but you couldn't store much else in there. To fold down the tower you have to remove 4 bolts, and then it doesn't fold down to as low of a profile as I would have liked.

Basically, owning a Malibu has pretty much spoiled me for other boats!
