The Premier is a good board. But at your size it might seem slow to you. You might feel like the board is sinking into the water. You might do better with a 141.

I ride a 2002 Hyperlite Premier 135 and am 5'9 and 180 lbs. I like it but don't have any boards to compare it to as I just havent' tried any different boards. I can do w2w 180s and the occasional back roll, but I think I'm in the minority though when I say I like this board length for my size.

malibusteve I have a 141 premiere with med bindings and a bag that goes with it for 180.00 if you think it's better for you here is a pic. It's also a "05" model like new.

I've got the Premier and I like it. I've tried using other boards and I always come back to the Premier. Keep in mind that I'm not that great, but I think it has less to do with the board and more to do with the board rider!

It's kind of like the theory that Hendrix would've been great playing a broom with rubber bands as strings. ;)
