If you do a search for "heater fix" there are a number of threads regarding the low rpm fix for the heater.

I've got both a heater and shower. In my case the heater gets used year around. The shower only gets used early in the year. I'll still get both in my next boat, though.

Mike is correct about the heater. Do a quick search, you'll find a lot of info.

As for the shower, it depends on how you use the boat. People in cooler climates use the shower to spray warm water into cold wetsuites. But out here, we use the shower mostly to clean up during long weekends camping at the lake.

But we use both the shower and the heater often. I wouldn't get a boat without them.

For the shower, it may be of benefit if you get out real early or stay in real late. And I'm talking like 40'ish water temps. I occasionally get out in water that requires a dry suit, but for whatever reason I hardly ever use my shower.
