I have seen that most everyone that Surfing.gif uses a 750 in the rear locker. My questions is do you get it full? A buddy just bought one for his vlx and can not fill it due to the lack of room. I am going to borrow his to see if i like it or not but i want to know if there are any tricks to placement, so that i can get it as full as poss!

Just center it up and make sure that as it fills it doesn't get twisted. You will love what it does for a surf wake. Clap.gif

I trimmed about 4" off the bottom of the forward locker carpeted pieces so the sacs could fit all the way when full. Just peel back the carpet, trim off the plastic and glue the carpet back down. The sac will still fit without doing that but it will push up on the plastic and not get full.

That seems to be the problem with his. also where the pump hooks up to the bag lands right in that area, making it hard to work with.

I was looking at that piece yesturday thinking i might need to trim it a bit. Doesnt look like it has any reason to be so long other then looks.

This is something I'm going to have to do too. Makes sense. I just haven't ever thought of doing it :)

Can you put the pump at the top of the rear part of the locker easier? Turn the bag around if it doesn't have a port at both ends?

Another tip, I installed a fused 12v cigarette lighter socket in that plastic panel while I had it off to cut it. Now I have a place at the back of the boat to plug in a pump since we fill/drain non plumbed sacs with two 1200 pumps. Picked it up at Radio Shack, it was cheap and already had a fuse wired on the hot wire.

Thanks for the tip, it took almost longer to get to the boat then to do it.

3 min to drive to the shop.

2 min to get cordless drill and saw, 3m spray glue, scissors, tape measure.

3 min to boat storage.

1 min to measure a good place to cut.( remove 7.5")

2 min to peel back carpet and cut

1 min to re-glue carpet

2 min to reinstall cover.

3 min home.

I was very please with the look after it was trimmed and in place, and i couldnt believe the amount of space it frees up.
