Power Wedge Problem

Anyone have the actuators for their power wedge get torn off before? My 08 23LSV was in for 50hr service and they called to tell me of the problem. I actually drove to dealer to have a look because I hadn't hadn't noticed anything wrong with the wedge. But both actuators had in fact been torn off from the pin that secures them (not to the transom but to the rear part of the wedge housing). I was told that this either happened by turning hard at very fast speed with wedge down, or that I simply struck an object while the wedge was down. I do remember hitting a stump, but it really didn't seem that bad. And I used the wedge multiple times afterwards. The tech working on my boat said they see it all the time. Just wondering. Looks like it's going to cost me about $600 or so.

If you are talking about the plastic pieces that are used on the sides of the wedge. My friends got ripped appart one day and we were just driving aroudn doing nothing unusall.
