Warranty work

The dealer from whom I bought my 06 Malibu Wakesetter isn't very convenient. I haven't had much contact with them except winterization. They haven't replied to a couple of emails I sent (thought they read them according to the reply receipt). I'm wondering how to find qualified folks to work on the boat, preferably without voiding whatever warranty is left. I'm in NW Georgia.

By the way, one of my racks broke (the two pins that keep it from spinning have disappeared). Any suggestions on replacements? How's the stuff from DIYWake?

Thanks.

I had the same thing happen with my Titan racks. The dealer sent me a new mounting bracket (Illusion tower) and I just swapped out the brackets.

Call Scott (Service Mgr) or Tommy Lee (Sales) at Atlanta Inboard and let them know what is going on. Tell them your situation, that no-one has contacted you back about warranty service. If they can't help you, in Irmo (Columbia), SC is Southern Watersports... the only problem with that is SW is the sister dealer of Atlanta Inboard so FWIW you can give it a shot. If you still can't find some resolution, call Malibu directly!

Let me know how that works out for you...

BTW... I am in Atlanta also (Flyin Hawaiian on ATLWake) Whistling.gif

My advice, call and do not email. The fact no one calls back from an email is not surprising. Calling will make sure you get the right person vs. someone just reading an email who might be summer help at the front desk. They should be able to give you advice about warranty work/repairs.

I know my dealer is about 2.5/3 hours away but they had to come to my lake for other reasons and they worked with me to pick up the boat right from my lake and haul it back free of charge. I just had to go pick it up when completed. They should be willing to work with you in some manner if you are a good customer.

re: the pins. If racks came with the boat, I would think the dealer would just put a couple pins in the mail to ya gratis.

Good luck.
