Trailer Jack Question

Recommended Posts

Just bought a 2000 Sunsetter VLX on Friday (This is my second post, I love this forum).

The teeth on the trailer jack have pretty much all snapped. So, for the most part, the jack is stripped. I'm looking for a replacement. What should I be shooting for as far as poundage in concerned, for the new jack?

The trailer is an Elete (I think they went out of business years ago).

Thanks again.

I believe they have shelby jacks on them. You should be able to get one that will hook up to your existing bracket.

In terms of weight, most come with 750 lb jacks but the 1000 lb jacks are much more robust.

Good morning!

Q: What BRAND of Trailer JACK is it?

My Elete had a Shelby -750 lb jack with a center-stud mount.

I found a NEW Shelby -1500 lb @ Cabelas (The Sport-Fishing store)!

$60 !

I removed the back plate and the center bolt & ball-nut and it bolted right

on to the welded trailer mount!

Here is the link: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...requestid=37973

Hope this helps
