Bow Ballat

Hey guys,

Im in need of some weight for my boat. Its a 21.5 lsv. I think it has the diamond hull. Currently, i have a manual wedge, 2 440s in each rear locker, and the 500lb stock sack in the ski locker. Im guessing i need some weight up front, just not sure how much, or maybe i need some weight up front and some more weight in the back??? I could really use some help with this. We had 15 people on our boat about a month ago, with the wedge down, and the sacks filled the wake was amazing. Should i just get a 500lb tube sack for the front and maybe one more 500lb to throw on the rear floor???

Thanks

Bo

with the wedge you absolutely need more up front. I'm sure there are diamond hullers lurking that'll help you tune that wake. Next time you are out, try putting a few people in the bow when riding and see what difference it makes. When we had our '06 VLX we had all 4 stock tanks full (rear, mid and front) and additional 500 in each trunk and another 350ish in the nose. That worked pretty well for us, but you may find a better mix from people on the board. More up front would be my advise before you add more to the rear!

This may help, but you can look around other sites for different kinds

I'll second an opinion for this one, I would recomend this sack up front over the factory tank. I can get about 600lbs in it and it works much better than my friends 250lbs. He is still having to put a sack up front. Use this one it and is the only thing you will need. I am also looking at plumbing this in from the center tank overflow.

Thanks guys. I was thinking about either going with that, or one of those lounge chairs...its 540lbs and i was thinking i could put it through the walk way. Its on sale right now for 69$. So i might have to go that route as its so cheap, and adds a lot of weight. Just hoping it will fit. Anybody have any experience with these. I think straight line makes it.

Some of the research I've done so far is that you'll need a board over the bag so when it's filling up it doesn't push the bow cushions up. You can use poly and have it carpeted to match your color carpet. Same concept as the center middle ballast.
