Need help with my Sportster

Recommended Posts

This is my second post on this subject. My 2000 Sportster bow doesn't drain the water that sometimes comes over the side. Does anyone else's Sportster hold water in the bow? If not how and where does the water drain? Thanks for the help in advance

Not the same boat but our 95 Echelon has a couple of water issues in the front, first off a bit of water will sit in the walkway, and the underseat storage lacks drains (thinking of adding some), also, the ski locker drain is not low enough to completely empty, oh well.

13 Years and no issues resulting from any of these quirks, gotta love all fiberglass contruction

A few of my old Responses did the same thing. I wouldn't worry about it, just use a chamois or something to get it out at the end of the day.

Often the drain hole between the bow and the cockpit would be covered over with carpet and drain extraordinarily slow. Locate a good point and add a large drain hole. (No Jack, not through the hull, just to the cockpit of the boat)
