Need a new boarding rope.

I just picked up a hyperlite imperial and some cwb faction bindings and now I need a good wake rope. I’be been using a straightline ski rope for the past few weeks. The guys from the lake have been telling me I need to get a good wakeboard rope, and I’ve tried one of theirs a few times, but I don’t quite understand what the big deal is. Does no stretch really make a difference? I sure can feel the ski rope stretch, but I’m not sure how that is effecting (positive or negatively) my boarding? Maybe Im not good enough yet for it to make a difference?

What should I look for in a new wakeboard rope? I realize spectra\zero stretch is a must, and I have used a coated rope a few times and LOVE the way it coils and pulls through my hands, so I guess that is a must too (unless someone can think of why not to get one like that, or something better). A while back I saw someone on this board recommended a proline LG rope. I searched wakeworld and the guys seem to like that one too. 100-120 bucks seems like a lot for a rope, especially since I’m not quite sure what I will gain from it. I certainly don’t need the best rope out there, but I am willing to spend the money if it will be worth it in the long run.

So what does everyone recommend? If there is good stuff out there that is cheaper, please let me in on it.

We use an Accurate A Line. This is the third season and it is holding up great. Picked it up for about $90 at a local shop.

Just picked up the accurate LG handle rope combo at Dicks sporting good for 50 bucks you can't beat it. The leather grip is nice I think with a nice pair of gloves that the grip is gonna be unbeatable

I have the A-line as well with LG Handle. I love the Chamois grip, no gloves needed and the line has held up very well.
