bent prop

i bent prop yesterday hit rock at slow idle getting out af area when i got home was looking at damage and starting to take off my question is when you put boat in drive shouldnt shaft hold tight spins easliy in nuetral or drive oh yeah boat is 95 flightcraft my first dinged prop never changed before thanks for any help also how much play should there be in strut think bushings are wore how hard to change and do you have to take shaft off

No, you have to put a piece of wood between the prop and hull to hold propfrom spinning. Pull your kill switch for safety.
