Fiberglass swim platform

I have a 2007 Sunscape 20 LSV with fiberglass swim platform. Getting a black residue on vinyl after walking on swim platform. I have tried scrubbing it with brush and powdered soap. Any other suggestions?

can't help you with the cleaning but you should consider scraping it off and putting on one of the newer ones.

Several topics on this if you search.

If 2007 and still under warranty, the dealer might be able to do something for you.

If I remember properly, the consensus on correcting this problem for most was wash the platform, spray with 303 protectant.

I hate those pads. We had an 08 VTX at the dock this weekend. Two people at two different times stepped off the dock on to the swimstep, slipped & fell, one gal fell between the swimstep & the dock.

I did the same think on my buddies' 07 LSV a year ago. We Traxxed it over the winter & it's no longer a problem.

We would get this a lot on our Rlxi. It seemed to be worse when it came in contact with sunscreen. This year, it hasn't happened yet. Maybe the pads have worn enough where we won't have to deal with it anymore.

We had the same problem on our '05. Had the dealer replace it under warrenty. We ended up getting the '07, which is slippery and still tracks in the black residue. We were probbably better off staying with our '05 platform.
