23 LSV Wakesetter 8.1 L Vortec prop question

Just wondering what pitch/type of prop is best for my 2005 23' LSV Wakesetter with the 8.1 L Vortec engine. Probably wakeboard 50% of the time surf 30% and cruise 20%.

which props are best for the whole shot and which are best for top speed? What would be the best for my application?

I had a 537 on my '06 LSV with 8.1 at 450'.

What altitude?

If it is around 450' then I would go with the 537 for your mix.

It'll mostly be used around 1500 ft. around Phoenix AZ.

I also learned that the beam length is 100 inches on the 2005. But looking at the other 23 LSV's, such as the 2006-2008 it says 8 ft beam which would be 96 inches. Is it a different hull? Or did they just get lazy with the specification?

I think the dealer told me 2005-2008 were the same, and the 2004 was smaller, but Im not 100% sure.

Sweet

I'm going to claim ignorance, but how can you have the same V25 Wake Hull, but have different Beam lengths?

how does it do with the prop it has now? Have you guys tested it out yet?

As stated earlier, I do have a different hull, but do have the same engine.

2003 23LSV

8100/425hp

Lenght 22'6"

Beam 97"

Weight 3500 Lbs.

55 Gallon

V25 Diamond Hull

Elev. approx 1000ft

We just recently looked into props and both the dealer and a prop dealer (who talked to ACME) recommended that we run a ACME 381 which is a 13.5x17.5, .105 cup. Many of the charts actually recommend a much lower pitch prop, 12-12.5 for the 23lsv, but with the big engine, it can run the 17.5 without sacrificing power.

Just thought I would pass along the info we recently found. Not sure how much difference the wake hull makes.
