Wakesurfing settings

Just got my 2006 247 Wakesetter and am looking for the "best" settings for wakesurfing (mine does not have presets). Clearly the rear ballast on the surf side should be full, but how about the middle and front ballast? For the wedge, should it be fully down or half down for the best results?

I am working on our wave as well but i can offer a small bit of info. surf side rear full, mid full, wedge down all the way then up one. If you dont have a lot of people or sacs you may or may not need the front full, and you can play with the wedge. A boat that big is going to need some sacs if you really want to get a BIG nice wave. speed will be between 10 and 11, just play till it looks good and feel good.

There are plenty of people here that can chime in and get you the best info.

Good luck

As much weight in the front you can get. the more the weight the longer the wave, i fill the center mls and then 750lbs under the seats and 400 lbs on the seat on surf side, plus the rear surf side mls and 400lbs in the rear locker with every fat butt on the rail.

have hours upon hours upon hours of wakesurfing behind my 247. the recipe for the perfect wave folows

750 in the rear locker

750 on seat in front of rear locker

750 on floor below and next too 750 on seat in front of rear locker

400 pounder in the front positioned on the surf side

factory center front and surf side ballast full

wedge half for steeper waive

wedge full for longer waive

10.4 beginner speed

10.8 beginner intermediate

11.2 intermediate

11.8 advanced

slow speeds make your wave steeper and shorter

fast speeds make your wave not as steep and longer

you need at least 10 feet of water

water depth is crucial

i ride a shred stixx thresher shredder 4 foot 9 inch board at 11.6-11.8 mph

i can ride 25 feet from the boat at those speeds

enjoy
