Stuck pylon

Recommended Posts

My rear ski pylon is binding up really bad. Anyone have this problem also? I dont use it for anything other than a pole to wrap my wet vests around to dry while out on the lake. I was finally able to put it in the up position and eventually pulled the aluminum shaft out to the housing. I exposed the nylon or some other kind of hard plastic, to see if it had anything binding it up. it appears to me that the nylon sleeve that the shaft slides into is out of round. I this something that could happen from heat?

Yeah it happens, the nylon must creep with the thermal cycling.

A grinder should fix it right up.
