Alarm for Wakesetter?

I am running massive amounts of competition speaker/video/amps in my LSV Wakesetter. Although it is in a lift behind our home, theft by water has hit a recent peak on our lake. Any recommendations for an easy install alarm solution for a little peace of mind??

Since you recently joined the Crew.... Welcome.gif

In your case, I might be more tempted to alarm the DOCK than the boat. I really loud and possibly BRIGHT strobe light for effect might work! Thumbup.gif Would be VERY easy to get a motion alarm set so that anyone that got on your dock would trip it. PLUS you might at least put a HUGE night light on the end of the dock? Dontknow.gif

IMHO alarming the boat itself may prove to be a PITA.

I was a alarm installer a few years ago, a 12 volt basic alarm with a shock sensor set up right would probably work pretty well. Just depends how good your installer is.

We install a DEI alarm that is made specifically for boats and motorcycles. It has motion sensing rather than shock sensing. you can do shock as well but in a boat it will be going off unless you set it really low. Then you might have an issue of it not going off.

I've got a DEI alarm with dual shock and motion sensors. Works great and the shock sensor isn't an issue at all. The only way I could see it being in issue is if you keep your boat in the water all the time, I mean in the water and not on a boat lift. The motion sensor is perfect, you get about 2 feet away and it gives you the warning chirps, if you don't back away it will go of. If you try to step into the boat quickly it will go off right away.
