I'm going to second this question:

Anyone know the part number and manufacturer for the rub rail insert Malibu uses?

I have a Sunsetter that is in desperate need of one.

Thanks!

Did you try Malibu? I know that it is one piece, with the joint at the transom, so it isn't something you just repair a little bit of it.

You can very easily replace the insert in the middle of the rubrail, it pulls right out and you just rubber mallet a new one in.

They are most likely made by TACO but they come in several sizes and I don't know what one would be correct. Anyone who has repalced their insert recently and has the correct part number would make my life SO much easier!

Thanks again,

Chris

Bump,

I am looking to replace the rub rail insert on my 98 sunsetter.

I know this topic is old, but wondered is anybody was able to find the manufacturer and part number.

Thanks

I went to the dealer, the insert only cost me like $50.

Not to sound stupid but do you mean "Malibu" dealer or "rub rail" dealer??? East Coast or TACO???
