Raw water pump install

Recommended Posts

1987 Skier...

I took off the raw water pump to change the impeller. I did not mark the orientation of the hoses on the pump housing and now I am second guessing myself on the direction of flow through the pump . The pump is only marked with LH on one port but I am also not sure what that means either (besides left hand).

Anyone have some insight, or even a picture of the pump on their boat?

more than likely, the water coming from the hose going TO the bottom of the hull, which sucks "cool" water from the lake goes tot he connection on the left side. The output is on the right, going to the motor/trainy cooler or whatever.
