Hi-Everyone

I'm brand new to this site and I can tell that you all have alot of great infomation!!!

I'm currently considering purchasing one of two used 1993 Malibu's a Euro F3 or a 1993 malibu Echelon which are in my price range...I know about the 93 Echelons computerized dash that are problems, which my local dealer said a very hard to find parts for...Then again I heard that the Euro F3 is a heavy boat and that 260hp engine made is sort of slugish..

Any suggestions or commets on either one of theses two boats would be great appricated..

Thank You

I vote for the Echelon... Only because I used to own one and it was a great boat...

Good Luck!

I'd vote for the Echelon, that boat really helped put Malibu on the map and it's the first all fiberglass hull.

I have no experience with the Echelon, but everyone knows the horror stories of the Computron. I would get anything but the computron. It's likely you (or anyone) can't fix it.

I like my 1990 Euro f3. Almost anyone can fix it, if it ever has a problem.

What's the difference in engines for those 2 boats you're looking at?

jason,

what is so bad about the computron? what is that? what was the main issue? were these in the echelon?

just curious?

Echelon ... had a '93' for eleven years and sometimes wonder why we gave it up.

The concept of the system was great and perhaps ahead of it's time, the issue is that it was dropped and therefore if it breaks your stuck.

Echelon. I have a '98 (last year they made it) and it's a great all-around boat.

Good luck!
