Boat cover vents

Recommended Posts

My boat is on the lake covered with the nice black malibu cover that came from the dealer.

On sunny days the temperature inside hits 120-140 F, my equipment does not like this a tiny bit. My neprane life vests stick to themselves.

I am thinking of getting something like this:

( solar powered vent )

Has anyone here had good/bad experience. I hate to think I will have to cut a hole in the cover, but I have no other idea.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I dont have one of thoes, but I do have one of these http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/de...sc=Boat_Vent_II

Well, I have it, its just still sitting in the box... So I dont think I'll be much help. I bought it last year when i bought my new cover, but I cant get my self to cut a hole in my cover to install it. I'd be interested to see if people have used any of these types of products.

I was putting the cover on the other day in the sun and I was absolutely baking under there! I can't imagine what it gets like after sitting for a few hours in the sun.

I might try those solar powered fans. Looks like a good idea...Will let the group know how they work.
