Fly High Pylon

Recommended Posts

When I got my new to me boat. It came with a Fly high pylon witth two wires. I am missing the bow strap. Does anybody know if I could make one. Fat sac wanted $60 dollars for a new one. I thought that was a bit steep for a strap. Anybody got one they want to get rid of.

I bought my fly-hi off of e-bay from someone who had a top bow eye and therefore didn't have a strap. I bought a 3" wide x 10' long nylon tug-strap at the auto parts store for < than $20 and had a local upholstery shop shorten it for me. They charged me $10 to sew a new loop on it. And I got it in yellow to match my boat. Thumbup.gif

personally i would pay the $60 to have the custom strap, it seems like a reasonable price.

NorCaliBu saved some money, but what about the time factor (but he did get the matching yellow- hehe).

I have the fly high, the strap is more of a round, woven thing (not sure what to call it), then I think what Nor used - i assumed he got something like a vehicle tow strap.
