Waterspots

Recommended Posts

After reading the thread on the boat colors, it sparked a question I've had about waterspots. Obviously certain colors show them more than others and require more maintenance to maintain a good clean look. Are there any recommendations for any waxes or sealers that help with waterspots? I've tried many waterspot remover products in the past, and none really seem to work on the toughter water spots. Just wondering if there are any products and/or processes that people have found to keep their gelcoat looking good.

A 60/40 mixture of water/vinegar works well on the spots, but strips the wax off Yuk.gif I use Babe's Boat Brite (as do many others) and have great luck w/ it. However you need to put on some good wax before you start this treatment and it will keep your Bu lookin BEAUTIFUL Thumbup.gifClap.gif

Hot Sauce is the stuff you need. It works awesome. Stay away from the vinegar/water mixes, way to much effort having to rewax all the time.

Use a lower quanity of vinegar to the water. Wax still on, water spots off!!

It will still take the wax off, just take a little longer.
