Where's best place to get a spare tire?

I didn't find much with the search, but I'm looking to get a spare tire for the trailer since I trailer the boat quite a bit currently.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

Aaron

I would say the dealer or a tire shop. But that seems so obvious, I wonder if your looking for a better deal, don't like your dealer or don't like the popcorn at the tire shop.

Actually when I bought my boat, I had a list of things I wanted the dealer to include.......a spare tire & the soft cooler that fits under the seat. Thumbup.gif

I ordered mine online from either Cabelas or Overtons , it's been 3 or 4 years. It showed up ready to go with a Goodyear Marathon and chrome directional rim just like the OEM one.

I picked my spare up from Discount tire and it was cheap! I went with just a white steel wheel (figured I would put a cover on it anyhow) and I was under a $100.00

I did exactly the same thing from Discount tire. My trailer didn't have a mounting bracket so I just throw the spare in the bed of the truck. The white painted wheel did the trick.

It's been a while since I bought from this place but it was a good experience when I did.

We use them with work and have been happy with them. If you can work in a company discount then its a great deal. The tire rack has nice deals as well. I have also seen deals at boat recycling centers.

If its an extreme trailer with the low profile tires........good luck.

Dealer item only.

I had three tire shops look for one and could only come up with a tire not rated for enough weight. Dontknow.gif
