Loose steering cables.

While circling back for a downed rider I started to turn right and the boat would only go straight. I was shocked to find I had a boat load of people, a windy day and now the boat was not steering properly. As long as the power was up a bit I could turn either way. Loading the boat with about 20-25mph quartering tailwinds was not easy(nailed it on the third try just as onlookers started to gather and take bets) Just got it out of the shop and they said that the cables were probably only finger tight at best and probably a factory oversite.
