Wax as U Dry suggestions

Recommended Posts

I am way late on this but as a guy who detailed himself through college I feel a need to chime in here. I need to get some pics posted of the 95 echelon that got 36 hours of wetsanding, polishing, and buffing due to 10 years of neglect.

On the topic of easy to use wax and wash products there are a lot of options. For washing use optimum no-rinse, it is lake safe, softens water, and you don't need to rinse it. For easy waxing use duragloss aquawax from carquest. Spray on wipe off, no apply, wait and remove steps needed. The protection is so so but i can do the entire boat in 5 minutes, do it everytime you get off for the weekend if desired.

For long term protection use collinite solid wax, the pastes are good too but solid is a bit better.

Read up on all of these products and so many more at autopia.org, and be prepared to drop a G or more on waxes, rotary polishers, etc. Gelcoat is so easy to maintain it is silly. Like i said i took a 95 echelon that had not been WASHED in 10 years and brought it back to perfection in one weekend.

Oh yeah and 303 aerospace or duragloss vinyl will work great on the interior.
