2000 Escape LSV. When the key is turned forward, beeps for 5-8 seconds then trips the ignition breaker. This is intermittant. Has anyone else had this same problem or know what the solution is.

What do you mean by 'ignition breaker'?

There is a 20 amp breaker that says ignition/computer/horn. This breaker keeps tripping after about 5 seconds, killing all power to the ignition. I think it might be a bad breaker. Last night while troubleshooting I tapped on the breaker and heard a small click, like maybe a switch inside the breaker was sticking. I tried the key after that and it works fine. I'm going to order another one today. Hope that's what it is. I'll keep you posted.
