Swim Platform Brackets

LSVboarder

Recommended Posts

I have an 02 Wakesetter LSV that had the teak swim platform. I actually lost the swim platform (Yes, thats right, dont ask!). I was wondering if anyone had any idea on how to obtain the brackets and wedge hatch hardware? I can find a used swim platform or even have someone make me one, but obtaining the hardware seems to be difficult. Malibu wont work with the public and so far my dealer seems too incompetent to find the brackets. Any ideas? Thanks.

Find another dealer who will work with you. Shipping shouldn't be too bad.

I had the same problem with an MC a few years ago. The dealer was in limbo at the time (Seattle area) and I needed a replacement bracket for one side. They normally come in a set (6 pieces, 2 transom side, 2swimstep side & 2 pins). After calling a few different dealers, I found one in Santa Clara who had an incomplete set. He sold me just the one bracket I needed.

Best place I've found for wedge hatch hardware is Flounder Pounder marine - they're about half the price of anyone else.

It's the SouthCo M1 latch.

The hinge is just a stainless steel piano hinge cut to size.

Edit: Fixed Link

FWIW, my brackets gave out, yes broke. I called a dealer who asked my hull # and then called me back in about an hr. They ordered the 2 new brackets and they shipped them to me. It was done. Should not be that hard. Good luck!

If your dealer can't find the right part, call Malibu directly, get the part number, then have (any) dealer order that part number for you. Worked for me a time or two.

Do you by any chance still have the teak swim platform?  My brackets are shot.  not the same boat model, but might be close enough.
