Best INstructional Wakeboarding DVD

Looking to take the next step I can easily jump the wake, do all the easier behind the boat - riding switch, ollies,180's,slide the wake crest etc. Looking for a good instructional DVD on advanced edging and beginner flight moves i can do grabs and the odd 180,360 but nothing else. I saw Wake Trix it looks the best from what I have seen but what have you guys heard is the best DVD?

The Book. Disc 2 and 3. Watch it about 100 times, go try a few of the tricks then go back and watch another 100 times... And it seems stupid, but go back and practice the basics of edging every time you go out. Do a 2 minute warm up and hit toe & heel, regular and switch. But to answer your question - The Book.

I just bought The Book collection and will say that it was very helpful. I have only watched disk 1 so far but I was able to find comfortable settings on my bindings and got up on the second try. Now to try switching and such...more wipeouts to come! LOL

Murray Detention 2012. It covers everything from how to get up, to whirly 5's.

Heck, I even still like the old detention DVD.

But if you can find a instructor (not just a buddy), all the better since they can watch you and correct on the fly.

Plus1.gifPlus1.gif the first Detention is funny but in terms of instruction it is not even close, the book hands down. My caveat is that I haven't seen Shaun's new 2012 video...

I found D2012 for a good price so I ordered it hopefully I will learn something usefull, as all these young kids on the lake are driving me nuts with thier ease of tricks and I go by holding on for dear life after landing a wake to wake 360 one out of every handle full of trys.

At least you land it (with the rope!). Still trying that one, not so hard for me on skis (snow) but still working on the board.

Any suggestions or a video for beginning boarders? The one video I have is very old (VCR) and spends about 30 seconds on the basics before it is off showing you tricks. I am interested in some basic body position, binding setup, handle location, and exercises for new wakeboarders as my son and his friends are just starting out. Actually, what would be better is a video on how to teach wakeboarding to beginners. Any advice THx

+1 on the book Plus1.gif . Good sections. Like most stuff you really learn from, it is a bit dry, but it is good. All of us who have watched it have picked something up that we can use.

recieved the detention 2012, GREAT dvd right from putting on bindings and entering the water, driving and loading the boat to tantrums etc. 3 dvds and very detailed and good instruction from murray and friends. I have already improved since watching it, highly reccomended!

Both are really good compared to other board sports instructional dvd's. The book is more technical

and pretty dry in its delivery, 2012 has great instruction and a more casual delivery. Both offer

really good points for someone looking to progress their riding.
