Perfect Pass

Hey Everyone,

I have a 2005 Malibu VLX and I'm using perfect pass, but I'm having any issue with my perfect pass. I currently have perfect pass on/set for 20MPH. The Boat will pull me out of the water and when it hit 20 it beeps letting me know that is has taken control, but the problem I'm having is it will go up to 24 to 25 MPH and then it will kick back down to 20. Any Ideas???

You are blowing by 20 on your throttle. Ease your way there and when it beeps calm down on the trigger and it won't overshoot by so much. You're probably catching while still getting up to plane, and then you plane and it goes faster for a bit and then calms back down to 20. While you're at it, make your life easier and bump it up to 22.....

Yeah, i've noticed as i've become more accustomed to towing that throttling back a little as you reach your target cuts down on over shooting your speed.

There should also be a setting to allow PP (CS/CR) to take over a little earlier & not overshoot so much.

It's on page 26 of the Stargazer manual or page 6 of the 6.5 WB Pro manual

CS & CR (Control Settings)

CS is a control parameter for the speed based modes. (Trick, Wakeboard and under 24 mph Slalom) This

adjustable parameter allows you to tune the engagement of the system so it is ideal for your boat. Heavily

weighted boats may need a higher CS to engage and control properly. Factory value is about 800.

Example:

1. You are set for 22 mph, but system overshoots and goes to 26 mph before settling back. CS should be

lowered. (Try adjustments of 20 at a time)

2. You are set for 23 mph, but boat will not get to 23 mph and engage.

CS must be raised to allow for a faster engagement point.

CR is for RPM modes including slalom & jump. Factory setting about 1900.

Auto CR/CS Set

Go to the “Control Settings” page same as in previous versions.

I will give CS & CR (Control Settings) a try. I've noticed that when perfect pass beeps to enage, if I thottle up it will going faster until I hit 24 to 25 MPH.
