Multiple System failure

Recommended Posts

Malibu Ken & Barbi

Was out Sunday surfing and was having some issues with several systems on the boat and am not sure if there might be one common problem. Here is what was happening. Getting engine fault reading on my display (2007 23 LSV), the cruise seemed to be acting up (not engaging, or needing full throttle to go 11 mph, gas gauge would not register, stereo would lock up (stop playing) or the remote (Kenwood) would either not work or go to full volume with just a touch of the button.. I've had the cruise issue before, seems to happen when surfing, when I shut everything off it seems to reset it self. But will do it again later. It was hot 95, had 10 people on the boat with a lot of ballast. Maybe it just got hot???

Sounds like something shorting out to me. Have you checked your battery cables? Wiring? etc?

It's the main connection between the engine computer and the dash computer. It's located on the front of the engine in your boat, behind the rear seat.

duh, it's what you put in your Canon when you are not firing it. Whistling.gif

Actually it is something like a connector that connects the crap load of wires to the ECM I believe. It is some type of harness connector.

Did you take on a roller from the rear? May have some electrical wiring wet.
