'08 vented windshield problem...

Recommended Posts

bmontini

All,

Has anyone had a problem with the new vented windshield on the '08 23 WS LSVs? While trailering yesterday, we saw something "flapping"... It turned out to the be the lower weather striping on the boat driver's side glass...

The metal "vent" has pulled off the front glass (looks like windshield glue there) and the bottom of the side glass is lifting from the deck. Looks to be only secured by DOUBLE STICKY TAPE!!!! Mad.gifMad.gif That just seems riduculous as a way to mount a windshield to the deck.... So part of my windshield appears to be realy to just fall off now...

Besides "take it to the dealer" are there any thoughts/experiences with this? Known issues, etc....

Thanks

Brian

if I remember right there was a thread around here with someone that had similar experiences... I'll see if I can find it.

Common, it is held on with double stick tape and two screws BTW.

Your boat should have the updated windshield, sounds like you just got a bad one.

Those square vent holes look MUCH nicer than the round holes in that older post.
